9:00 am Departure from Cusco by tourist bus, a 45 min. ride to Pisaq, passing on the way by communities like Yuncaypata, Ccorao (3,485 masl. foto stop), Rayanniyoc and Huancalle.
Visit to the Pisaq Indian Market, known for “trueque”, or trading of products without using money. On Sundays you will have the opportunity to attend mass in the native language Quechua. Mayors of the communities and surrounding areas often attend dressed in their traditional colorful costumes. They announce their arrival in the Inca tradition by the sound of “Pututos”, instruments based on sea shells.
Pisaq is a beautiful village with archeological ruins located on the top of a mountain which rises next to the village. The archeological site features impressive irrigation systems as well as astronomical observatories such as the Intihuatana.
Pisaq, is a Beautifull Village located at 32 Km from Cusco, resides account with an Arqueológical Inka Metrópoli located in the hoghest parto f the Mountain with impressing sistems of irrigation and Astronomical Observatories like the Intihuatana, or solar watch.
After leaving Pisaq the trip continues along the Sacred Valley , following the Sacred River and enjoying beautiful scenery. We will pass small villages such as Lamay, Qoya and Calca before arriving to Urubamba , where we will have lunch.
After lunch the trip continues along the river to Ollantaytambo, the “Town of the Living Inca”, 97 km . from Cusco . On a mountain top overlooking the village we will find the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, which was a sacred Inca temple. There are six enigmatic boulders of pink granite, which possibly had astronomical purposes.
After this visit we will head back to Cusco via Chinchero, visiting this small village located at 28 Km from Cusco ( 3,772 masl ).
At the end of the tour passengers are taken back to their hotels.
