Paracas Ballestas Islands
The Ballestas Islands are some islands in the Pacific Ocean near the coast of Peru.
They are 260 km south of Lima, near the town of Paracas in the province of Pisco.
In the cities of Pisco and Paracas can buy tickets to tour the Ballestas Islands by boat. The normal cost to enter is S/.40 per person. The walk is 2 hours - 30 minutes even get 30 minutes to return, and an hour to see the animals and birds.
Do not allow the landing of tourists in these islands, so as not to disturb the animals living there, but the boats are close enough so they can enjoy the beauty of these animals.
The abundant life that exists in the Bay of Paracas and the islands is made possible thanks to the cold Humboldt current.
The Humboldt Current is the water that fills the Ballestas Islands plankton and microorganisms, further enriching this sea withshoals of fish such as flounder, cojinovas, croaker, toyos and anchovies.
